In that case, we recommend ordering the bottom fasteners as well. These additional buckles attach to the waist belt and make the carrier more suitable for babies up to approximately 6 months who cannot yet sit independently. Using the bottom fasteners changes how the shoulder strap tension is distributed, allowing your baby's back to remain nicely rounded.
