Washing advice for a stretchy baby wrap
It is so tempting: you receive your baby wrap by post and want to wrap it immediately. This is not advisable. Washing helps the threads settle more firmly in place. If you do not, the threads may shift. So inspect your baby wrap first after receiving it and then put it in the wash!
Tip for soaking your baby wrap:
Before washing your baby wrap, you can soak it overnight in a tub of water. You can optionally add a splash of white natural vinegar. This removes sizing (= a glue-like substance that makes the threads of your baby wrap stiff). Not all materials may be soaked.
These materials may be soaked: baby wraps containing cotton, linen and/or hemp. These materials may not be soaked: baby wraps containing silk, wool and/ or bamboo.
Soaking is not necessarily required, but it is allowed.

Ironing tips
Check the care label carefully to see at what temperature your baby wrap may be ironed. This applies especially to delicate materials such as wool, silk and bamboo. Steam ironing makes your baby wrap a little softer again.
